What do you think of when you hear the word ‘manna’, in terms of food? Anything in particular?

  1. Chef John Zendher, autographing one of his chicken cookbooks, signed it with, “To each recipe, add a cup of love”. I think in manna that’s an amount of 100%, adding nothing else. And anything else that’s added is an accompianment.

    I have to wonder if when I taste some of the things manna is assumed to be (historically, by various scholars) if I’ll be thinking ‘love’ at how they taste, though. 🙂

    That is, if I manage to actually get my hands on them. But that’s what this is all about, so hopefully I will!

  3. I really don’t like the word “manna”. Nothing against the subject, I just don’t like the word.

    Kind of like I don’t like the word “blog”, so I don’t have one?

  4. srhcb – sometimes I don’t even like my own name, but I live with it anyway. It seems to me to be more useful than constantly trying to attack it, though that urge does arise often enough!
